About Emily Dickinson lived her entire life in her family home. She wrote almost two thousand poems but only published ten during her lifetime. Nature, literature, and history were her topics to craft quirky yet deeply philosophical poetry. The poems, mostly found after her death, earn Dickinson a spot in the great poets canon.
Did you know? While she did not publish, Dickinson wished to see her poetry in collections. She copied her poems neatly, stacked the sheets, and sewed them together to create little poetry booklets called ‘fascicles’.
